Not so many guests were around the swimming pool in the courtyard of Moana Surf Rider Resort and Spa by Westin in the night on that day. But it was just before the pandemic of covid-19.
Much fewer people may be there nowadays. I heard that almost eighty percent of the tourists came back to Hawaii but Japanese tourists are not there.
This is the wing of the hotel we stayed. The Governor of Hokkaido also stayed in a room of this wing when the Sister-state Affiliation was established between Hokkaido and Hawaii in May of 2017. I would like to take the current Governor of Hokkaido Mr. Naomichi SUZUKI when we celebrate the Fifth Anniversary of the relationship in 2021 or 2022.
