I love to drive my car in Hokkaido and to be honest, I prefer driving a car to taking a train. But the scenery from the windows of the train is different from that from the car windows because the routes are so different. I can enjoy the different scenery drinking pints of beer. I can't do that in driving a car.
I have never seen such names of the railway stations. My wife seemed to be so satisfied with the train trip. I had to keep the manner of the railway mania that I couldn't understand enough.
