Ohmorihama beach of Hakodate in the morning !

I make a point of jogging around in Hakodate City every time I visit there and breathing in the wind on the strait. The island of Hokkaido and the main island of Japan "Honshu" are separated by Tsugaru Strait.

The main island of Japan "Honshu" is in this direction. It was not seen on that day but usually it can be seen when the weather is fine.

The ocean was very calm on that day but the strait had swallowed many lives of human beings when the storm hit the area and wrecked the ferry that connected Aomori and Hakodate.
