The river to get across after death!

There is a river which water contains ample milk of sulfure in "Jigokudani" "Hell Vally" of Noboribetsu City. It was named "Sanzu-no-kawa" which meant the river to get across to go to the world of souls after death. It derives from the naming of "Hell Valley". 

As it is very tough for plants to grow on the hot ground in sulfur gas, no plants can be seen in the valley. Hot soil and rocks were on the bare ground. 

This is the place where the No.2 of China at that time visited. Different from Mr. Hu Jin Tao, the former President of China who visited Hokkaido when the Meeting of Group of Seven Developed Countries called "Summit" was held in Winsor Hotel near Lake Toya, Mr. Wang did not stay in the hotel in Noboribetsu.
