We stayed in "Hotel Sekisuitei" run by Noguchi Tourism Company headquartered in Hokkaido. Many hotels were refurbished during the state of Emergency after the pandemic of covid-19. The repeater and Hokkaido lovers may be surprised the facilities that they stayed and used before are ready to receive them with the renewed comfy countenances.
I jogged around the hotels and went up to the hill behind the hotels. The center is the hotel we stayed on that day but it had not been refurbished. "Hotel Mahoroba" near there is now being renovated now. Each two guest rooms turned to one gorgeous room with the subsidies of the central government. I hope the grade of Hokkaido tourism will step up to accommodate the well-heeled tourists from all over the world.
Before I reached the highest point of this road, a deer appeared from the bush. I was so surprised at the huge silhouette appeared. The deer in Hokkaido is much bigger than the ones in the main island of Japan. They have to get over the cold winter eating the bark of the trunks. It is so tough that they may not be able to get away from the predators such as brown bears after the long winter.
