Hokkaido Festival in Japan House !

 Believe or not, tons of snow had been carried from Abira Town, Hokkaido for this event. Precisely speaking, a huge snowman and some blocks of snow had been packed in the container and brought by ship.

 The President of Paraguay Hokkaido Society Mr. Naoki SHIROSAWA took a piece of snow brought from his fathers home island. I had heard that one of the immigrants from Hokkaido dried out, " I did not think I will be able to touch the snow brought from his or her mother island Hokkaido, before passing away! " when a huge snowman was brought  five years ago.

 This is the back side of the huge snowman brought from Hokkaido in 2019. It was still hidden from the audience in Sao Paulo before the opening ceremony. Small snowmen were also brought from Hokkaido and displayed around the huge one at the entrance of the Japan House.
