After checking in Sheraton Asuncion, we went out to see the downtown where many souvenir shops were selling the items sourced locally, such as texitile, costume , pots, accessories, scarf and so on.
My sensor to select my favorite bad-taste items did not work there. I kept an eye on every member of the delegation walking around the souvenir shops in order to avoid crimes.
Hokkaido delegation hosted a dinner to celebrate the 80th Anniversary of the immigration from Hokkaido to Paraguay, inviting the first immigrants and their descdendants. It was a kind of ice-breaking party to get acquaintances with each other and get to know the current situation and challenges facing the immigrants and their descendants. The Honorary President of Hokkaido Association in Paraguay Mr. Shirosawa was so powerful and vigorous.
