I was remembering the outlook of Calgary, Alberta, Canada when I saw this scenery on that day. Hokkaido Prefectural Government established a Sister-State Affiliation with Alberta in 1980 and many municipalities in both regions also have sister-city affiliation.
Sapporo City has many Sister-City Affiliations with the municipalities overseas. One of its Sister Cities is Munich of Germany. Every year, pop-up shops set their stands in the Christmas Festival held in Ohdori Park and sell their traditional goods and foods.
We found a food stand that sold roasted almond in German way. Do you know that the wage per an hour in Germany is much higher than Japan ? In Germany, we could earn the amount of money in an hour and half that could be earned for a day in Japan.
