It is not "Mission to Mars" !

This is still the lookout called "Bougakudai" on the hillside of Mt. Tokachi(dake). Have you ever seen the movie film "Mission to Mars"or "Total Recall" ? In those movie film, the surface of Mars was like these photos.

I turned around on the barren field of rocks and ash. It was a mild slope but this approach to the peak of Mt. Tokachi(dake) may be much tougher than the one from Ryouunkaku.

Other peaks looked easier than Mt. Tokachi(dake) to conquer. But the brown peak of the mountain seemed to be inviting and alluring us. Which approach is better ? What do you think ?
