Blue Pond in Biei and the River !

It is said that the blue pond was made by the public work of this river from Mt. Asahi(dake) and Mt.Tokachi(dake).

 The river also looked blue like the pond. What is the ingredients that make the water flow  blue? The color is from not only the blue sky.
