To the hidden hot spring !

We were getting closer to the hot spring that had been closed for years. It was remodeled and opened again with the attractive and comfortable atmosphere. I can say that it became much better than before.

 We dropped by a museum in Shikaoi Tonw near Obihiro City. The name of the museum is Kanda Nisshou Memorial Museum of Art. The URL is 　http://kandanissho.com/

Not only the museum, a variety of objects were displayed on the premises of the museum. The icon on the sign of the museum was the half body of a horse that was drawn by Mr. Nisshou Kanda who passed away before drawing up the horse. He was a farmer who raised cattle and horses in that area. I was a little bit nervous considering his short life.  

"Pastoral" in Tokachi !

On our way to a hidden hot spring spa near Obihiro City, we enjoyed enough the scenery of veggie and grass field on Tokachi Plain.

 The woods beside the farm seemed to be well-trimmed to create the picture-perfect landscape that gave the tourists good photo occasions.

The road to our destination was so straight and gave us the perspective of that area. The air was so clean and brought us the power to live well. We were heading to the foot of the mountains ahead.

What we had in the farm cafe !

A strawberry parfait and a cone of ice cream were the sweets we had at three o'clock on that day. Needless to say, the ice cream was made of the milk produced in the farm. They were so tasteful with the power of the land. It seemed that Tokachi area had ample power and momentum to produce quality foods and promote them.

This is the inside of the cafe. So many magazines that contained the articles on the farm cafe were stack on the table. The capacity of the cafe was not so much but due to the compact space, the atmosphere was so comfortable even for visitors.

I am not sure if the owner likes so-called "country western" music or not but the upstairs looked like a stage for playing music in country style.

Many people like to welcome guests with such cozy cottage, I think. The owner of the cafe and farm had enough space to raise livestock, companion animals, crops and veggies. What a nice life in the pastoral circumstances !

Cafe in Tokachi !

On our way to the hot spring spa near Obihiro City, we dropped by a farm cafe that has a beautiful garden on its premises. A big white dog seemed to be sleepy and just sent us a wink as its hospitality.

 A small black puppy was also in the cage and was strolling around. It did not care us and just showed its pretty behaviors.

This is the farm cafe we dropped by. A several kinds of delicious dished sourced locally could be savored in the restaurant but the staffers are very few in the restaurant. So please take enough time to drop by the cafe.

Obihiro City and the suburb !

We arrived in Obihiro City. We could not see so many tourists at that occasion but I think the city and the adjacent towns are being swamped by many tourists. now.

 These rabbits were raised in the garden in front of a certain cafe in the suburb of Obihiro City. They were so cute and gentle. I think you can touch and hold them after getting permission.

He or she seemed to be melancholic a little bit but I hoped that sand man visited and made it sleepy. Believe me ! They were so pretty and healing.

Buckwheat Noodle Restaurant "Mebunryo 2015" !

Yes, this is one of the most famous and popular buckwheat noodle restaurant in Hokkaido because the amount of buckwheat noodle is so limited everyday that the delicious buckwheat noodle called "soba" is sold out early in the afternoon.  

 The top photo is "soba" dish accompanied with "Kakiage", the mixture of fried shrimp, onion, herb and fishcake. What I posted yesterday is soba dish accompanied by hot soup flavored and featuring quality meat of mallard. The meat is shown above.

This is the entrance of the restaurant. Before it is opened, several people make line waiting their turn.

The premises of the restaurant is well-trimmed and -cared. At the beginning of May, everything was so moderate and kind for the residents and tourists.

Heading to Tokachi !

Different from the scenery in summer, we could see the snow left on the northern hillside of mountains on our way to Obihiro City in Tokachi Prefecture.

 Hidaka Mountains were still decorated by white snow but the plains were colored slightly green with the buds of plants.

We dropped by one of our favorite buckwheat-noodle restaurant in Shimizu Town near Obihiro City. Do you remember the name of the restaurant where many tourists from other parts on this globe and residents near the restaurant swamp every day ?
