Hot Spring fountain "Ohyu Numa" again and again 2024 !

The foyer of the Hotel Park Hyatt Niseko Hanazono has such space to have a rest watching the landscape of Mt. Yotei. The illumination on the ski course can be seen from there too. 

The foyer also had such art works of glassware, flower arrangement and Japanese calligraphy displayed in so effective and appealing space mad for the works.  

After having lunch of happiness, we visited Ohyunuma near the public hot spring spa "Yumoto" run by Rankoshi Town. The smell of Sulfur of the spa is very strong that the towel you used in the spa should be washed after  your bathing. 

 

Dim Sum of China Kitchen in autumn, 2024!

Different from our former select of the dim sum buffet in China Kitchen of Hotel Park Hyatt Niseko Hanazono,  on that day, we ordered fried rice noodle with sprout, onion and beef like Pattai of Thai cuisine.

My wife makes a point of order seafood fried rice which contains shrimp and clam. You should not miss the fried rice when you use this restaurant, I think.  

My favorite spicy Sichuan noodle soup, namely dandan noodle soup seemed to be the authentic and original one of Sichuan style. As I did not have breakfast in that morning, I ate almost all kinds of dishes of the dim sum lunch on that day.

 

China Kitchen in Park Hyatt Niseko Hanazono 2024!

It has been while since we had dim sum lunch in Chinese restaurant "China Kitchen of Park Hyatt Niseko Hanazono. The menu of the dim sum menu did not seem to have been changed. We love the authentic flavoring and taste of the dishes. 

We had sweet and sour grilled pork, Chinese dumpling, such as gyoza, and shaomai, chinese spare rib, soup of the day, cold mini tomatoes, and fried rice as usual.   

 

The beginning of Autumn in Sapporo?

The fruit of rowan makes so nice typical contrast with its bright red color and green leaves every year. So impressive contrast makes us prepare for the white winter season. I mean the switch of appetite is turned on with the color.  

Against the backdrop of blue sky and white clouds, the rowan seemed to be proud of its beauty and the design. Soon the world turned to be the monochrome one with the harsh coldness of ice and snow.

The row of poplar trees on the premises of Hokkaido University started to change their color gradually as the season progressed. We have to savor the godsend before coming winter.

 

Italian Restaurant Mandriano with Mt.Yotei !

It is not the eruption of Mt. Yotei but the white and gray clouds covered the peak of the mountain like the steam erupted from the volcano of the mountain.

Halloween in Hotel Windsor Toya 2024!

The blue sky and the clouds gave the geo-park of including Toya and caldera so nice twist and special effects on that day. The central island of the lake that we can reach by ferry showed seemed to be appealing to us its role in the landscape. 

The active volcano Mt. Usu still made the citizens of the area stay on their toes to react to its possible eruption that would bring so serious damage to the area like before.  

The lake side of the hotel has so modern appearance and the total shape of the hotel is like an eagle staying on the peak of the mountain with its wings fledging. 

 

Pizza Quattro Fromage in Italian Restaurant Mandriano, Niseko!

The Italian restaurant Mandriano run by Takahashi Ranch always prvides the visitors with the breathtaking landscape featuring the beautiful Konide of Mt. Yotei and superb dishes such us Pizza Quattro fromagi made of the fromage made in the same building with the restaurant, fried potato and caprese sourced locally in Niseko,   

We've never had dinner in this restaurant so far but if we could stay in the nearest hotel, we would savor these delicious dishes with beer or wine as well as the landscape.

The moving clouds made moving shades on the hillside of Mt. Yotei and change the countenances of the mountain. The high season of the tourism of the area is winter but soon the tourists from overseas will visit this place even in the green season, I think. 
 

Lake Toya Overview!

It was a breathtaking landscape of the geo-park Lake Toya to be seen from Hotel Windsor Toya where Group of Eight Meeting called SUMMIT was held in 2008. 

It was built when the Japanese economy enjoying its soaring before the bankruptcy of Hokkaido Takushoku Bank. So the materials to built the hotel were of top-quality with top prices.  

I recommended this hotel as the venue of G8 Summit to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan before the event and I was given the pamphlets  of the hotel  to deliver them to the pertinent authorities in the central government. It was more than decades ago. 

 

Hotel Windsor Toya 2024 !

It has been a while since we stayed in Windsor Hotel Toya where G8 Summit Meeting was held in July, 2008. The appearance has not changed but it seemed to be maintained appropriatelyki

As you may recognize, the active volcano Mt. Usu, Lake Toya and swelling Mt. Showashinzan made a Geo-park designated by the international authority. 

Lake Toya is a caldera lake and the volcanoes around it are still active and we have to stay on our toes to avoid the disaster of eruption. The landscape is so nice but we have to keep it mind that the landscape was made by the active movement of the earth.

 

Arrival and Departure in Kitafunaoka Station!

The single coach of the train coming from Toyoura Town colored silver, yellow and orange added an artificial twist to the landscape. I felt the real life of the people living in the area with frail public transportation system.

The train left Kitafunaoka Station and headed to the steel town Muroran City. Of course, the lives of Hokkaido depends on the automobiles but the elders and kids can not drive cars.

The train sustained the lives of the people even in the rural area but the cost to maintain the railway may spoil the running of JR Hokkaido. More people should use the train  to maintain the public transportation.
