Are you fed up with the scenery of Lake Kussharo ruled by deities ?  But please visit there and savor the hot spring spa and the scenery of my favorite place.

 So many families and tourists enjoy camping in Sunayu Area on the lakeside where you can dig the beach and make your own bath.

 There are two parking area at Bihoro Pass. You can walk to the lookout on top of the hill where you can get the fine view of the lake. Before winter, you have enough time to visit there and savor the mood.

At the beginning  of the season of tourism, you may feel something to remember. The lake of deities was so calm and gave us the peace of mind.

I think that the eastern part of Hokkaido has what the tourists expect to see and experience in Hokkaido.  

 The clear view of the lake that could be seen from the look out was not what the tourists of bulk tour could enjoy but the increasing number of private individual tourists may make this scenery more popular as time goes by.

 Without milky fog that usually cover the pass, we happily was able to reach the lookout of the pass and caught the nice scenery on that day.

 The central island in Lake Kussharo seemed as if floating in the air. The lake reigned by deities looked so calm and solemn on that day.

The hillside of the pass was still covered with snow partially on that day. Yes, this is the landscape from the pass.

I am not sure how many times I posted the photos taken from the lookout of Bihoro Pass where so many riders drop by and compare the notes albeit at the beginning of the tourism season.

If any body knows about the reason why such huge rocks are around the lookout near the top of the pass, please give me the facts and the reason.  

The building near the lookout on the Bihoro Pass provides the tourists with the quality foods and crafts as well as the magnificent scenery from the lookout/

Sunayu Area of Lake Kussharo !

I've not tried scuba diving in Lake Kussharo but some tours under the water are arranged these days, different from my adolescence. I've never seen the landscape in the lake.

I have visited this area thousands of times and enjoyed camping but I do not know what can be seen in the lake. I've dived into Lake Shikotsu near Sapporo some times and the scenery under the water is so nice to see.

So many trunks of spruce can be seen at the bottom of Lake Shikotsu. During my wife's absence, I might be able to have time to try that. I think the deities of the lake is not so generous for divers.

Kawayu Area Park !

The hot spring water for the foot bath was coming from the crack of the rocks but needless to say, the source of the hot spring is artificial and designed.

 The trail in the park seemed to be aged. The sign explained that many deer appear in the park and eats the bark of the trunks.

Many benches and tables were set in the park but they also seemed to be aged and covered with moss. No fire can be used in the park. We headed to the lakeside of Lake Kussharo.

Kawayu Onsen Area in Hokkaido !

Beside the hot spring spa in Kawayu area, a cozy park had been developed for the citizens and tourists.

To be honest, I am not sure how many tourists stroll around this park and how much more money can be earned by this facility but it works actually for us to have a rest during our driving in the east area of Hokkaido.

 Please keep it mind that the upper side of the foot bath is hotter than other part of the bath. Digital bowers behave likewise all over the world when they savor each meal and wonderful scenery. What do you think about it ?
