The Lobbying to METI !

The Hokkaido Coalmine Area Revitalizing Association composed of the members of the Hokkaido Legislature, the municipalities that had coalmines, Kushiro Coalmine Co., Hokkaido Prefectural Government did also its lobbying to the Vice Minister of Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.

Mr. Toshiro INO is the current Vice Minister and it was the second lobbying for us to him. His riding is in Gunma Prefecture but he kindly understood the necessity to support the coalmine that provided the developing countries that had underground coalmines with training program for keeping the work safe. 

The mayors of Kushiro City and Mikasa City, the Chair of the Special Committee for Coalmine Area, Green Transformation and Energy Research Mr. Kenji Funahashi whose riding was and is my hometown Kitami City and the CEO of Kushiro Coalmine Company explained the necessity of the subsidies from the central Government.

 

The Lobbying to the Parliamentarians !

The member of the House of Representatives of Japan Mr. Arata Takebe is the son of the former Secretary of Cabinet Mr. Tsutomu Takebe their riding includes my hometown Kitami City.He is one of the most powerful Parliamentarian in Japan. 

The member of the House of Councilors Mr. Hidemichi Sato belongs the religious political party "Komei". He had been a member of the Hokkaido Legislature and did the same kinds of lobbying to the national Diet and the central government.

Hokkaido Prefecture needs a hectic amount of budget to protect the ground and citizens from the adjacent countries and keep the people living in the isolated islands facing the border. thanks to the efforts of the Representatives and Councilors from Hokkaido, the budget for the coalmine area in Hokkaido seems to be secured.

 

The Lobbying to the central Government !

I make a point of having my favorite ramen noodle soup by Sora Ramen Bar in New Chitose International Airport before the flight I take to visit other places on this globe. 

We made a effective lobbying to the Representatives and Councilors of National Diet elected in Hokkaido.  

The lobbying was for the revitalization of the coalmine area in Hokkaido. Twice a year, we do such lobbying to the central government and Diet. This time, we visited one of the most powerful politicians from Hokkaido Mr. Muneo Suzuki who crossed the isle in the House of Councilors.

He said that Hokkaido is called "Yakkaido" which meant "Nuisance" sometimes because it demanded hectic amount of budget and support for the development and welfare of the island too much and unreasonably. But he is still a strong and powerful supporter for Hokkaido.

 

Le Blanc in the Intercontinental Sapporo !

The lobby floor of the Intercontinental Hotel Sapporo also has a fascinating fireplace at the center of the floor. Maybe the fireplace provider is the same as the ones we can see in Kutchan/Niseko Area such as Hotel Sky Niseko, Hotel Setsu Niseko and Park Hyatt Niseko Hanazono.

The display on the wall of the hotel is a little bit similar to other international hotel group such as Park Hyatt and Ritz Carlton, I think. The designer and the architect may be the same or in the same apprenticeship.

I think it must be so tough to create the top-quality cuisine sourced locally striking a balance between the cost and taste for chefs in hotels. In order to minimize the labor cost in the restaurant, buffet-style may be the best way but keeping the quality and the warmness of the dishes may be difficult. 

 

Agricultural Experimental Field of Hokkaido University 2026 !

I could not find any sheep nor cows on that day. I am not sure when they should be freed on the grass field in the experiment of the Faculty of Agriculture in Hokkaido University. The skyscraper-like tall buildings seemed to be some hitches on the ground.

Since I graduated Hokkaido University, I have seen these rows of poplar trees for decades. I am not sure the life expectancy of poplar trees but they have existed there for decades and apparently elder than me.

I am so relieved when I see them as usual early in the morning every day. No clouds could be seen in the bright blue sky peculiar to the northern region. The scenery is so inspiring and energizing.

 

Peach Frappuccino in Summer !

Our favorite seasonal Frappuccino provided by the Starbucks Coffee Chain in Japan is the Peach Frappuccino twice a year ?,I think. The second may be the Orange-Mango Frappucino or Strawberry Frappuccino. What is your favorite ?

Other than them, I usually go to Maccha Frappuccino. The difference between the Maccha one made by Starbucks and other coffee chain definitely different and I prefer Starbucks, speaking of Maccha Frappuccino.

Besides, the morning scenery of the Hokkaido University Agricultural Experimental Field was as beautiful as usual. The silhouette of the poplar trees seemed to be giving a special twist to the sunrise. I would like to continue to see the scenery for decades.

 

Roice' Rose Garden before Mid Summer !

The flowers including the various kinds of roses seemed to be competing each other or orchestrating a symphony under the blue sky. In the not-so-wide space, the flowers were burning their lives to leave their genes. 

Why such beautiful colors can be created in this world? What kind of chemical substances can compose such beautiful gradation as if God ordered and created ?

I can not believe that only the evolution process made them a reality. Without omnipotent power and ability, it can not be there, they thought. What a beautiful world !

 

Roice' Rose Garden fully flourishing !

The Rose Garden run by one of the most famous Chocolate and Sweets  Manufacturer in Hokkaido Royce' was alluring so many citizens of Sapporo and adjacent cities and towns this year as last year. 

The cost of trimming of the plants and maintenance of the park must be so expensive but the sweets shop and boulangerie on the opposite side of the road was also swallowing so many visitors and filled their bags up with its quality amazing sweets and breads. 

A variety of flowers most of which were beautiful roses seemed to be entertaining the visitors with their amazing colors and shapes. It was like a dream in the daylight under the blue sky.

 

The Champions of the Competition !

I've never seen the National Electrical Construction Technicians Competition but the scale and audience must be much bigger than the one held in Hokkaido, I think.The winners of the competition held in Sapporo will experience the national competition this year.

The level of the competitors in the national competition may be higher than in Hokkaido because the winners of the Hokkaido Competition last year could not get the award in the national one.

Some of the competitors may not have been satisfied with the result and the judgement but this is the system the Electrical Construction Association in Hokkaido created and decided themselves.
