The flat area of Mt. Esan !

This comparatively flat space on the hillside of the active volcano Mt.Esan might have been made by the eruption of the volcano and rainfall. For a  crater, it is not so large but considering the height of the volcano, the crater seemed to be too large, I think. 

The flat space was surrounded by small hills.The temperature of the ground looked comparatively higher than the lower place near the volcano.

The contrast of the volcano and Pacific Ocean was so fascinating. Hot spring spa area Yunokawa Onsen is near the volcano. The trekking course is what I recommend to the visitors to southern part of Hokkaido. 

 

Trekking to the peak of Mt. Esan !

The rocky surface of the hillside of Mt. Esan has a wide flat space on the way to the peak. it is active volcano in Hokkaido. Trekking in hot summer may be a little bit too tough for elders. 

The eruption of the volcano thousands years ago made this landscape and shot those huge rocks with the sophisticated artistic feelings.

We can assume the countless power of energy of this planet.The hillside was not so steep and easy to reach the summit from where the Pacific Ocean and the northern part of Hokkaido could be seen. 

 

Spring has come!

I was so relieved to see the beautiful pink cherry blossoms on my way of jogging this year. Spring has come to Sapporo ! The aroma of the cherry drafted in the air and stimulated our bodies and souls as well as appetite. 

These cherry trees grown on the premises of Sapporo Horse Race Course seemed to be so sound and filled with vim and vigor. I was wondering how those trees created such beautiful and subtle pink color. i remember that I had wondered the same every year.

 

Scrum!

It was the first time for me to watch the rugby game in Sapporo White Dome. The rugby football game Kobelco Kobe Steelers vs Kubota Spears started with the waves of lights emitted from the smartphone of the supporters.   

My wife and I were not familiar with the manner to cheer up the rugby players, so we watched around the way of cheering up and learned a lot.

I graduated a high school that had sent its rugby team to Hanazono Rugby Field almost every year and had rugby class in its rugby program. As I was familiar with the rule of the game, I had to explain that to may wife and respond to her questions.

 

Mt. Esan !

Motomachi park in the port city Hakodate was reflecting the sunshine from the horizon. We had to minimize the belongings before the magic hour and the day of our visit to a certain volcano.

We reached to the trekking course of the highest  and greatest mountain in the southern part of Hokkaido. Fe felt the hotness from the land that had been kept these scenery.

The trekkers were recommended to avoid unnecessary exploring to the another peak of the mountain. But I was so attracted to the another peak.

 

Motomachi Park Again !

On the west side of Hakodate City, there are so many slope named so nicely. I've already fixed the jogging course in the port city Hakodate so many years ago.  

When I was learning in Hokkaido University, I did not care about the park and other visiting spot for the tourists. I was just eager to see my father even in my adolescence because he always did his best for our family including myself. 

I visited Motomachi Park in Hakodate City again on the next day during my stay in the port city. The former public hall in the town refurbished was shining, reflecting the sunshine of the rising sun on that day.

I do not use some kinds of application to make these photos more attractive. I am eager to visit the port city to see this scenery right now.  

I am wondering when I will be able to use my whole time to stroll around this globe with my wife again. But before visiting my friends, we will stay for a while in Hakodate City  enjoying the hot spring spa here and there in the city. 

In a sense, the port city could be the common hometown for the visitors to the city, I think. I think that the youths of the city love driving and talking about the automobiles. 

 

The Magic Hour of the Port City !

From the southern end of Hokkaido, the northern end of the main island of Japan called "Honshu"could be seen. Before the sunset, the land of Aomori Prefecture could be seen from thsouth end coast of Hokkaido. 

The scenery from the peak of Mt. Hakodate-yama struck us as it called "One of the Tree best night scenery " in Japan. we felt like being absorbed by the scenery on that day. 

The mist in the air created such beautiful scenery. The moist in the air from the ocean must be contributing to the special adding effect on that day. The lights making the coastline clear even in the evening . 

 

The Port City Opened long time ago !

I am so sorry for failing to post these photos or forgetting to have posted them. We visited Esashi Town for the first time in the last dacade. We got married during my mandate in this town at the beginning of my business career. 

Kamome-jima, The Island of Seagull appeared on away way to Hakodate City from the west coast of Hokkaido.The coastline facing the west mada such scenery on our way from the north to the south.

The color of the ocean was green when I was heading to the central part of the town about thirty years ago. The days of my adolescence was flourishing in the town on the west coast of Hokkaido.

 

Waiting for the season of Azalea !

Soon the flowers of azalea will come to the southern part of Hokkaido including The Port City Hakodate. When we visited before the Motomachi Park in the city was decorated the pink  color of azalea so nicely.   

The historical building the former Public Hall in Motomachi was refurbished, reinforced and re-painted as if it went back to the past. 

So may events including parties were arranged and thrown just after the facility was newly built. The cherry blossoms and azalea flowers were blooming and give a twist to the scenery, I think.
