Please choose Hokkaido and Hawaii !

Jogging around the resort hotel Mauna Lani Bay Hotel and Bungalows, I was wondering how many people were staying in the villas of the area.

I imagined how they were enjoying their lives in the villas, watching the various countenances of the blue Pacific Ocean. 

I was wondering if the scenery ticked the creativity of the residents, if the mild time flow filled up the lives of them, if they were fed up with the peaceful time flow on the island or not. I would like to give it a try for my wife. 

 

The eruption made this island !

A big current from Japan to to the west coast of the United States is flowing offshore of the Big Island. I do not recommend to go away too long from the coast unless you want to swim to the west coast of the United States.

Mt. Mauna Loa could be seen from the black beach on the premises of Mauna Lani Bay Hotel and Bungalows. The mild hillside of the mountain gave us the impression as a lower mountain but it is still higher than Mt. Fuji.

The peak of the mountain is 4,169 meters high even though it's lower than Mt. Mauna Kea which peak is 4,207 meters high.

 

Feeling the round shape of the globe !

The walking trail for the guests in Mauna Lani Bay Hotel and Bungalows was so nice and refreshing under the blue sky on that day.

The tide pool seemed to be accommodating a variety of creatures and was refreshing the guests staying in the hotelor bungalows. 

Exclusive golf courses could be seen on the opposite side of the premises of the resort. Cozy villas were beside the golf courses. We are craving for another visit to the resort.

 

The relationship of Hokkaido and Taiwan!

The New Head of Delegation from Taiwan Mr. Shinshi NIEN had a nice talk with the Governor of Hokkaido Naomichi SUZUKI and exchange the mementoes.

"Relax and enjoy together as after sipping a cup of coffee" seemed to be the message of the gift from Mr. Nien. I remember that I had been surprised at the superb quality of "the Scotch Whiskey" made  in Taiwan.

Mr. Nien gave us the Taiwanese coffee as well. I will be surprised again the taste of the coffee with my wife, I think.

 

New Friends from Taiwan!

The new representative of Taiwan arrived in Sapporo City and was officially inaugurated as the Head of Delegation. He paid a courtesy call on the Governor of Hokkaido Naomichi SUZUKI on July 27(Tue).

The relationship between Hokkaido and Taiwan has been so solid and beneficial over the decades and will be everlasting. 

The new representative of Taiwan Mr. Nien seemed to like communication with the young governor so much and established solid trust with him. The relationship between the regions of each side will be developed more, I think. 

 

Lava Rocks !

The typical color of rocks that were made of lava cooled down rapidly by the ocean is black. They were carved and shaved by the wave of ocean.

But please be careful when you walk around o the lava rocks because some of them may have cutting edges. 

Actually I cut my palm with one of the edges when I entered the ocean for snorkeling. Marine boots and gloves are the "must" as well as lush guards.  

 

Exploring in Mauna Lani Bay Hotel and Bungalows !

I took a walk to the other side of the premises of Mauna Lani Bay Hotel and Bungalows after coming back from the sunrise tour to the peak of Mt. Mauna Kea. 

As the area of the beach resort was so huge that it took more than an hour to reach the other end of the premises. I was seeking for the entry point to the ocean but the lava rocks were so sharp like the edge of knife even in the beach area.  

The tide pool area was not so developed as if it was found a few years ago. We love this slow-pace atmosphere in this beach resort.
