Hokkaido Coalmine Delegation Worked Wonder!

Before the day of lobbying to the central government of Japan such as the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and the Headquarters of the Liberal Democratic Party,  the Hokkaido Coalmine Delegation members had Korean cuisine in Chonsol Korean BBQ Restaurant in Akasaka, Tokyo.

The restroom had so amazing tab water which created a  photon-glass-like object. It took a while to identify the photos and remember what they were, to be honest. 

In the evening on Sunday, the downtown was so calm compared to weekdays but Tokyo Garden Terrace Kioicho was lit up so nicely.

 

Revitalizing Coalmine Area in Hokkaido !

I found an old mansion of 

occidental design near the Hotel we stayed APA Hotel Hanzoumon Mae. It was like a haunted Mansion in Disney World, Orlando, Florida somewhat but looked much more cozy than the house of Ghost.

The members of the Hokkaido Prefectural Assembly from the current governing party " Liberal Democratic Party"chose this Korean BBQ Restaurant for dinner.

We were invited to the party and savored the Korean cuisine amply. Spicy hot pickled veggies stimulated our appetite so much and everything was fine and fulfilled our stomach and soul.

 

For the future of the coalmine area in Hokkaido !

I was jogging around the Imperial Palace in Tokyo , Japan early in the morning on the day of our lobbying activity to the central government and the current

governing party.

It was not hot in June but the first lobbying activity has to be conducted in hot July usually. We did that at the beginning of June because the election for the half of the councillors would be expected. After the election, the current governin party might lose their controling power in the politics. 

 

The Requests to the Central Government !

On the second day of our business jaunt to Tokyo, I checked around the location of each place to visi Party of Japant including the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan and the headquarters Building of the Liberal and Democratic Party of Japan.

They are located near the Imperial Palace of Japanbut it must be tough to lug around the heavy documents that explained the official requests from the coalmine area in Hokkaido.

The Imperial Palace allowed the joggers to stroll around the premises but not in the premises themselves.

 

Business Jaunt to Tokyo !

I had to visit Tokyo with the official delegation of Hokkaido Coalmine Association composed of the municipalities, regional legislatures, Hokkaido Prefectural Government and coalmine companies. 

Before our departure from New Chitose International Airport, I filled me up with my favorite Ramen noodle soup of the Ramen Bar "Sora" that had lost its flagship headquarters in the downtown of Sapporo City and still had its branch bar in the Airport.

The next morning ,  we had start the day with visiting Coalmine Area Countermeasures Office of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Investment and discussion with them.

 

Cold Sea Urchin Spaghetti in Mia Angela !

Shakotan Peninsula shaped like a turtle or snake could be seen from "Wilderness Cafe" on the beach in Yoichi Town on that day.
I was strongly tempted to dive into the ocean but I didn't have my own fins, mask nor snorkel with me on that day,unfortunately. 

After coming back to Sapporo, I checked up where the ingredients of the cold spaghetti flavored with white seafood broth and topped with sea urchin in the Italian Restaurant Mia Angela of Daimaru Department Store was from. 

The sea urchin that entertained and satisfied us so much was from Shakotan Peninsula on that day.

The Moss Phlox Hill !

We really enjoyed the collaboration of the human beings and the natural beauty against the backdrop of the landscape including Mt. Yotei respected by the farmer. They knows amply the beauty created by each of the players on the site.   

One of the Mishimas family cut the grass around the garden. I was about to thank the person for creating such beautiful place but  I hold myself back from doing that because he or she may have been only hired .                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       

 

The Moss Phlox an Mt. Yotei !

The moss phlox garden seemed to have been named "Moss Phlox Hill" . The small hill shaped like Mt. Yotei made a good contrast with the original motif mountain. The Mishimas actually did a good job and showed them to the visitors for free of charge.

The garden was swamped by many visitors. The Mishimas provided the visitors with the parking lot in cooperation with the owners of the adjacent real estates and the visitors had walk to the garden from the parking lot for ten or fifteen minutes.

It must have taken for years for the moss phlox to spread their beautiful colors to such extensive space. The Mishimas did not require the entrance fee or other kind of payment. We really appreciate the hospitality shown by the Mishimas. Kudos to the kind farmer !   

 

A Farmer Made it ?

Each flower of moss phlox is like a cherry blossom but the density of the pink color on the ground made some differences. The common part of them was that a variety of pink and white colors could be enjoyable without green color of leaves. 

The sea of lovely pink and white colors had a small hill shaped like Mt. Yotei with white snow. This beautiful scenery was created by the Misima Family. If you are interested in the garden, the contact point is as follows;

Moss Phlox Garden in Kutchan !

It may be different from the Japanese traditional "Wabi Sabi" garden but as the beauty of the pure color of pink could be seen only several weeks, it sparked the flare of lives completely to create next generation and the beauty seemed brighter than continuing ones.

The colors of white, pale and vivid pink created by the moss phlox made the premises of the farmers residence a small wonderland in the usual life of them. 

We were not sure how the owner of the garden created such layout of the colors making the most of the natural beauty of moss phlox but it is sure that the plan human beings figured out would not go as expected beforehand, I think.

 

Niseko Graubunden 2025!

We stayed in Hotel Nikko Niseko Style without meal including breakfast on that day. We headed to the restaurant in Izumikyou District at the foot of Mt. Niseko Annupri "Graubunden" to savor the delicious sandwiches and cakes.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  

No other guests could be found in the restaurant in the morning on that day. So we chose to enjoy the atmosphere in the restaurant even after finishing breakfast. The restaurant seemed to accommodate the inbound tourists and residents in the area.
