The waste water from the closed mine tends to be acidic and shoul be treated with lime powder before being released to the public wate zone such as riverx lak and ocean.
This mine was developed by one of the biggest conglomerates in Japan and as it continues to earn money from other
mines overseas it invested, it can continue to man the water-treatment facility.
Hundreds of people had worked in the mine before and now, the facilities are maintained by only several people.
