A single car train left Kitafunaoka Train Station and headed to Date City founded by the descendant of one of the most famous and popular Samurai Sengoku Warlords of current Sendai area in the Era of Warring States of Japan before Edo Era.
The mild skyline of Oshima Peninsula and the peak of Mt. Komagatake could be seen from the station of Kitafunaoka. The surface of the Gulf Bay was so calm and peaceful on that day.
The coastline on the opposite side of the Gulf Bay led to the City of Bay Hakodate that had been opened to the foreign fleet at the earliest in Japan. I could not imagine I would make a business jaunt to there at that time.
