Going around the rim of the crater of Mt. Usu !

Getting off the ropeway, we went up to the southern lookout of Mt. Usu from where the crater of the volcano could be seen. 

The " Eruption Gulf" called "Funka-wan" in Japanese could be seen from the lookout. It was the entrance to the trail to the southern rim of the crater.

The gray clouds were getting closer and we felt a slight rainfall. No heavy rainfall was forecasted but we hurried up to go down to the middle of the crater.
