About one year ago, I visited Boston, Massachusetts to seek for the possible sister-school affiliation between Hokkaido and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The regions established a sister-state relationship in 1985.
Hokkaido Prefecture and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts were planning to celebrate the 35th Anniversary of the Sister-State Affiliation in the year of 2020. In order to prepare the gubernatorial visit to Boston from Hokkaido, I visited there at the beginning of last February.
